• Review and interpret project plans and specifications
• Attend Pre Bid Meetings
• Solicitation of Material, Service and Subcontractor proposals
• Quantity & Material Takeoffs
• Bid Bond requests
• Bid Document organization and execution
• Proposal Generation and Documentation
• Estimate Takeoff Entry
• Proposal Review
• Estimate closeout
• Contract review
• Job Budget Entry to Accounting
• Prepare P.O.’s, Subcontracts and Service Agreements

Job Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management and/or Civil Engineering preferred
• 5 years prior experience for California Contractor in similar type work
• Experience with Computer software including Heavy Bid, Heavy Job, HCSS Plans, HCSS Safety, Spectrum by Viewpoint, Blue Beam, Primavera and Sketch Up.
• Ability to work under pressure and accurately review proposals during Estimate Closeout
• Ability to understand and calculate takeoff’s for estimating and change order calculations
• Ability to professionally communicate – Including both verbal and written
• High Document organizational skills
• Ability to clearly understand contract plans and specifications and provide clear interpretations
• Commitment to Safety of workforce and jobsites
